Bow Valley Health Guarantee

Bow Valley Labradoodles guarantees that your puppy will be in good health when you receive them. All of our puppies undergo an extensive health exam and first set of shots around 7 weeks. All paperwork about these health check-ups is included in the vet folder with every puppy.

We have a 3-year health guarantee for genetic conditions that we can test for that are life-altering and untreatable. Health problems that develop within the first 3 years of the puppies life, and are determined to be hereditary by at least 2 veterinarians, one chosen by Bow Valley, is covered by our health guarantee. These hereditary issues are issues that can be flagged using DNA testing. We do everything we can to breed healthy puppies and DNA test all our breeding dogs. All health results are posted under our breeding dogs on our Moms and Dads pages. Sometimes random health issues can pop up, just like in people, which are not genetic. We do our best to ensure that your new furry family member will be healthy for a very long time. Any health issues that are impossible to detect preemptively via testing is not due to the negligence of the breeder and are not included in Bow Valley’s Health Guarantee.

The health of your new puppy is also determined by the food you feed, routine vet check-ups and vaccines administered, as well as many other environmental factors that can directly affect or cause diseases.

Should a serious genetic issue that we test for in our parents be discovered with your puppy within the first 3 years, we will reimburse you up to 1/2 the purchase price of your puppy or we will provide a replacement puppy within the next available litter. The three-year health guarantee does not include maladies that are common among any living creature ie: ear infections, food or environmental allergies, eye issues (except hereditary PRA), misaligned teeth or any cosmetic dental procedures.

Please note: You do not have to return your dog to receive monetary compensation or a replacement puppy.
